Illustration from book
Guide to
Unpublished Materials of the Holocaust Period. An index to the record groups of the
archives at Yad Vashem was published in a series of volumes. Few of the
documents have information about individuals, but note under Otwock,
there is mention of a "List of Jews."
Appendix B
Towns Referenced in the Guide to Unpublished Materials of the Holocaust
Period
The archives at Yad Vashem in Jerusalem has documentation for more than
4,000 towns in Europe. (See the chapter on "Yad Vashem" for more
detailed information.) The volumes of Guide to Unpublished Materials of the
Holocaust Period also include
numerous entries for camps and refugee centers during and after World
War II throughout the world. Few, if any, such facilities are
identified below. If you know that an individual went to a specific
labor camp or refugee center, it would be worthwhile to look in the
volumes of the Guide to see if they include information of interest.
The names Czechoslovakia, USSR and Yugoslavia are used because the
lists were compiled prior to the breakup of these countries.
